LogiQ 5.8.4 is a Service Pack. It is a minor release which only affects a few modules. It can be installed as an upgrade for LogiQ versions 5.8.0, 5.8.1, 5.8.2 and 5.8.3. For new installations of LogiQ, release 5.8.0 must be installed first followed by the 5.8.4 Service Pack.

New Courses Navigation Tree
In 5.8.4 we have redesigned the Courses Navigation Tree in the Course module so that it is easier and more intuitive to use. The goals in doing this work were to ensure that you can easily see and work with current courses and also find courses for instructors, locations and time. We have colour coded the tree to clearly indicate what is in the past and what is in the future. Likewise we have included the ability to control how much historical information you see.

New Add Course Wizard
We have implemented a new “Add Course Wizard” to make it easier and more intuitive to use. The wizard now will work with the Program Date Band that you have already selected in the Course Tree. The first page of the wizard now asks for all of the set-up information you need for a Course whereas with the old wizard you would do all of your work on adding a course and then discover something is missing and have to exit the wizard and start again. So, we hope this will save a lot of time and frustration. There are also some nice improvements such as being able to see the Price Bands for the Course Type and being able to Undo the Course Add (on the last page of the wizard) if you need to.

New Course Copy Wizard
The new “Course Copy Wizard” is a significant improvement on the old wizard. The goal here was not just to overhaul the old wizard but also to add significant new features. So, you now have complete control over which courses you copy from one Program Date Band to another as well as determining if you want to copy Enrollees or not. A log is maintained of the Course Copy and you can Undo a Course Copy at any time you want (but before any transactions have been recorded against the course). The wizard does all it can to show you what it is going to do, each step of the way, so you can be confident in what you are doing.

Program Bands Editor
We have in fact reinstated the old Program Bands Editor (from release 5.3.0). There was some work done on it in later releases but we decided (from feedback) that the old version was better.

TPOS Image Button Issue
Some customers have been getting an error in TPOS when clicking buttons. We have had trouble duplicating this issue and therefore fixing it. So, we have done some work to improve the code but we are not certain if this has fixed the problem or now. Time will tell.

Reconciliation Printing Issues
We have done some more work on the Reconciliation report to fix some overlap issues.

Support for LogiQ Messenger
We have added support into LogiQ for the new LogiQ Messenger product which will soon be released. LogiQ Messenger provides SMS, Email and Mail Merge functionality and can be activated in LogiQ. With release 5.8.4 of LogiQ you will be able to choose to use LogiQ Messenger when it becomes available.

-ve Receipt Refunds
In TPOS you can now refund -ve receipts.

Membership Refunds Sorted
We have improved the Membership Refunds module so that it works a lot better. Included in this is being allowed to make part refunds.

Manual Payment Due Now Issues
We found an issue with American and English date formats in the Manual Payments windows. This has been fixed.
